HOIA Castor oil is a cold-pressed, unrefined, high quality beauty oil, which contains an exceptionally high amount of essential fatty acids (ricinoleic, oleic, linoleic, stearic, palmitic acids).
Clary sage oil helps to soothe a variety of local skin irritations such as breakouts, acne and sunburn, strengthen and nourish damaged and coloured hair and soothe the scalp. Clove oil promotes eyebrow and eyelash growth, nourishes dry and cracked cuticles and softens knees and elbows.
Essential fatty acids in castor oil:
- Ricinoleic acid, known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
- Oleic acid, which is an excellent moisturizer.
- Linoleic acid, one of the omega-6 fatty acids known to have moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Stearic acid and palmitic acid, which lock moisture into the skin.
Since castor oil has a thicker and more dense consistency, it can be used to enrich various body care products, such as body creams or body oils.
Castor oil nourishes dry skin, leaving the irritated area soft and moisturised.
Regular application of oil to the scalp can promote hair growth, strengthen the hair root, nourish coloured hair, reduce dandruff, soothe the scalp.
The oil has excellent anti-inflammatory properties, which help to relieve a variety of skin irritations such as acne and sunburn.
Directions for use: to relieve skin irritations, apply a few drops of the oil to the problem area and massage until absorbed.
To promote hair growth, prepare a nourishing hair mask by mixing 2 parts olive oil and 1 part castor oil and massage onto the scalp. For a more intense effect, leave on the scalp for a couple of hours.
To nourish eyebrows and eyelashes, drip a few drops onto a finger or cotton pad, apply and massage. You can wipe off any excess oil after a while to avoid getting it in your eyes.
To nourish cuticles, massage a few drops of castor oil into the cuticles.
